The AMORES team wish you a happy and successful 2016!
This has been a second super exciting and eventful year for all involved in #amoresproject – students, teachers and team members. Project activities came to an official end with our final event and awards ceremony in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Now that the project has officially ended, it is time to share the results of the past two years with other educators, as well as the wider population.
The AMORES final event took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia this morning. The project partners, teachers, students and their guests all attended the event at the Valamar Lacroma Hotel.
A workshop on the AMORES teaching methodology was held today at “OŠ Lapad”, a Dubrovnik primary school.
The project is drawing to a close with a series of events taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, this week.
We are proud and excited to announce that the revised and complete version of the AMORES teaching methodology is now available for download!
As the project draws to a close, the findings were shared at the European Conference on Information Literacy. The conference took place in Tallinn, Estonia, in the period 19-23 October. In the session on digital literacy Geoff Walton of Northumbria University presented the paper titled Digital Literacy for School Teachers: A Participatory Approach, jointly authored by himself, Janet Hetherington of Staffordshire University and Mark Childs of Coventry University.
During the fourth AMORES partner meeting which took place mid-September in Köping, Sweden, the AMORES project was featured on Swedish TV - or, more specifically, the local news broadcast on Västmanlands Television. The crew visited Karlbergsskolan and filmed the meeting, as well as a class participating in the project and the school library. They interviewed the principal and head of the Swedish team on the project, Ragnar Larsson, the project coordinator, Gordana Jugo, and the researchers Dr Mark Childs and Dr Geoff Walton.
