Having said this, we are very pleased to announce that the winner of the first annual AMORES E-artefacts Competition – with a total of 48 out of 50 points – is:
Second class of the JUNIOR SCHOOL OF KEFALOS, KOS ISLAND, GREECE (Athanasiadis Nikolaos, Athanasiadi Stamatia, Diakantonis Kiriakos, Diakogianni Christina, Kritikos Emmanouil, Billis Xaralampos, Niarou Evagelia, Oikonomou Emmanouil, Papasevastou Ioanna, Sahlis Ioannis-Efraim, Strati Anthoula, Tsataros Ioannis-Apostolos, Tsolakidi Antonia) with the entry THE HONEY. This e-artefact based on a folk tale from the island of Kassos, Dodecanese, Greece, has been created under supervision of teacher-mentor Psarrianou Iakovi-Eirini. The winner is the recipient of a trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia, for the award ceremony and the final event of the AMORES project. The prize is awarded to one student and one teacher – mentor.
OLGA CHATJIDIMITRIOU, Second grade - junior high, Music School of Komotini, Komotini, Greece, teacher Maria Goubili, with the entry WHY (46 out of 50 points). The second prize is a one-year subscription to Pixton for Schools, valid for 60 students. Pixton is a popular web-based tool for the creation and sharing of comic strips.
The third prize is awarded to:
PAULA PETKOVIĆ, 7th grade, Primary School Petra Kanavelića, Korčula, Croatia, teacher Suzana Petković, with the entry PLAGUE’S HOUSE (44.5 out of 50 points). The third prize is a one-year subscription to Pixton for Schools, valid for 30 students.
