The first week of May saw visitors from Sweden spend 2 action-packed days in Croatia. Everyone at Horvati Primary School in Zagreb was very excited to welcome ten students, three teachers and the headmaster of Karlbergsskolan. This is the second of the bilateral visits between schools planned for the pilot implementation stage of the project – Danish students visited their counterparts in Łódź, Poland, in the last week of April.
Bilateral Meeting On the first day of the visit the Swedish and Croatian students and teachers attended a workshop where they worked on e-artefacts based on the book “Croatian Tales of Long Ago” by Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić.
Some of the other students, not directly involved in the project, also joined the workshop in order to interview the guests. The Croatians and their Swedish guests took advantage of the wonderful weather and went on a field trip to Istria the following day. This was a perfect opportunity to learn more about Croatian national literature and how to build a digital repository.
Towards the end of May Croatian sixth graders will be visiting Sweden, with two Horvati Primary School teachers accompanying them. They are all looking forward to the trip very much!
