Over a period of eight weeks in total teachers from partner schools explored ways of improving student engagement with literature through the interactive and collaborative use of ICT. The course lasted six weeks, with an introductory two weeks to allow teachers to familiarize themselves with the Moodle environment. The course provided teachers with the opportunity to experiment with the use of various ICT tools, such as video and comic strip generators, to create digital artefacts, as well as discuss how
students might best be encouraged to critically reflect on e-artefact production and participate in social interaction. The final week, which focused on videoconferencing for online collaboration, included the highlight of the course – a videoconference to bring all the teachers together and discuss the steps to be taken at the beginning of the following school year.
